Life from loss

 There is a LOT of pain that must happen in order for adoption to happen, A lot of unspeakable loss. As the person who receives the beauty on the other side it is easy to forget that.

Being different is hard! its hard for an adult but for a Jr. high school girl. oh my goodness!...

Sisters who love you like crazy help, but they are also a constant reminder that you were not born into this family...the blue eyes, the blond hair, the baby pictures....they are all constant reminder of the fact that you did not grow in the same tummy...

Watching them play volleyball, do their own hair, take gymnastics..

 It can make you feel like you don't belong....Except for JESUS

 HE brings healing, freedom, JOY that only HE can bring.

 JESUS 

gives you the courage to love again, 

JESUS gives you the faith to trust in the love of a family.. 

ONLY JESUS makes it possible to 

LOVE and LAUGH  and HEAL

 whether you were adopted at 18 months or 10 years there is loss, there is doubt, there is fear.

And as mommy, we MUST enter into it. we can not fear it, we can not deny it, we can not run from it...

WE MUST ENTER IN.

we can not stand on the shore and throw a life jacket...

    

              

It will be HARD, we will feel so out of control, it will be like this rushing river, if we fight it we will go down, but if we hold on for dear life and go with the torrent of the pain, we will find ourselves miles down the river of healing, as long as we are holding tight to the only one who can keep you from going under.

 AS WE REMEMBER WHO OUR ENEMY IS, THAT IT IS NOT OUR CHILD BUT THE PAIN THAT OUR CHILD HAS COME FROM, WE CAN BEGIN TO FIGHT A BATTLE ON OUR KNEES ON BEHALF OF OUR  CHILDREN AND WITH OUR  CHILDREN.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
