forgiveness leads to joy
how slow we are to forgive some times. how many of us hold on to a hurt from 20 years ago like it was yesterday? I am in awe of Lily's total forgiveness of all those who have hurt her, she doesn't even realize that's what it is, she just does not hold any bitterness inside her heart.
she has been hurt in many ways, physically abused, abandoned, taken from all she knew and yet her capacity to give and receive love is nothing short of miraculous.
Her pure Joy is evidence of her total forgiveness.
Do you need to forgive someone today???
big or little things, small irritations to full out abuse can shut our heart up and keep us from joy.
